Please be informed that the university will organize the annual academic conference on environmental sustainability from November 15th to November 17th, 2024. This three-day event aims to gather scholars worldwide to discuss cutting-edge research and share practical solutions for global ecological challenges. All faculty members, postgraduate students, and external experts are encouraged to participate. The conference will be held at the Grand Hall of the Main Campus, with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. each day. A detailed schedule will be provided in the following paragraphs.

The first day's program will begin with an opening ceremony at 9:00 a.m. featuring keynote speeches by three internationally renowned professors. Dr. Maria Chen from Cambridge University will deliver a 45-minute presentation titled "Carbon Neutrality in Urban Development," followed by Dr. Hiroshi Tanaka's research on marine plastic pollution. The third session from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. will focus on case studies, inviting participants to discuss regional implementation strategies through group discussions. All attendees must complete the online registration form by October 31st to receive a digital badge and access to the virtual platform.

On the second day, specialized workshops will be conducted in parallel tracks. Track A will explore technological innovations, including presentations on biodegradable materials and renewable energy systems. Track B will address policy-making challenges, featuring policy briefings from environmental ministers representing five different countries. A special session titled "Youth Voice" will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the East Auditorium, where undergraduate students can present their original research projects. The final day will conclude with a panel discussion at 10:00 a.m. moderated by Dr. Angela Li, the conference chairperson. This session will summarize key findings and propose collaborative action plans. From 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be an interactive exhibition in the basement lobby showcasing student artwork and scientific models related to environmental protection. light refreshments will be provided during breaks between sessions. All participants are expected to complete the evaluation survey upon departure to ensure future improvements.

Important logistical details include the following: (1) Transportation arrangements will be provided for out-of-town guests; (2) meals will be served in the conference cafeteria with special dietary options available; (3) child care services will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 16th; (4) temporary parking permits must be obtained from campus security upon arrival.
